Facade Restoration
Confix specialises in the restoration of heritage facades, including reinforced concrete, traditional sand & cement render, and/or brick construction.
The key to our success is our specialist in-house workforce, with over 110 years experience between our three leading hands. As detailed below, we can carry out all traditional render, concrete, brick and coating works in-house.
Confix also has long term relationships with a number of specialist restoration contractors across Victoria, whom we can engage & manage to carry out all other aspects of the restoration work required.
We work with our clients from the initial site meeting to project completion, providing clear quotations and assistance in managing the various authority requirements for each project. Throughout the process, we always keep OHS as our highest priority.

Traditional Sand/Cement/Lime Render
Confix has the skills and experience that are crucial to carry out traditional sand/cement render works.
In-house, we can run replacement mouldings in situ, and replicate decorative items as required.
Our specialist team has carried out restoration works on a number of Heritage listed buildings across Victoria, including Ballarat Trades Hall, Preston Town Hall, Pt Nepean Quarantine Station, Kooyong Tennis Stadium and Northcote Town Hall.

Solid Plastering
Our most experienced specialists are solid plasterers by trade, each with over 30x years experience.
We can carry out all types of solid plaster finishes, including walls, moulds, decorative items
We can also recreate lath and plaster ceilings, using traditional techniques to restore ceilings as they were originally constructed.
Concrete Remedial Works
Steel reinforced concrete deteriorates over time, allowing carbon dioxide and moisture to reach the steel reinforcement within, which in turn reacts and begins to corrode. If left unattended the concrete structure will eventually fail and collapse.
We use market leading repair products and coating systems, administered by skilled labour with technical backing from our management & suppliers, to carry out best practise concrete repairs. This way we provide our clients with structurally sound, aesthetically pleasing structures with a renewed lifespan.
Brick Pointing, Pinning and Crack Stitching
Our team has carried out re-pointing works to brickwork and bluestone on a number of heritage projects, such as Her Majesty’s Theatre Ballarat, Gasworks Arts Park Port Melbourne, and Preston Town Hall.
Confix has also stabilised a number of facades using crack stitching, pinning and tying techniques with proprietary products and systems. Please see photos below for examples of our work.
Applied Finishes and Coatings
Waterproof membranes are a good way to increase the lifespan of your building, by protecting the masonry facade from water ingress.
We have completed coating works using Dulux, Porters & Parchem systems on a number of facades, floors, walls & ceilings across Victoria. Confix is experienced in the application of all leading coating systems, to improve the aesthetics and durability of your building.
Epoxy Resin Injection
Cracks in concrete and delaminated render can be made structurally sound by injecting a proprietary epoxy resing through installed nipples. Once the epoxy is cured the nipples are removed and the surface is re-finished or coated.
We have the knowledge, equipment and experience to carry out this specialty repair technique, sealing cracks and increasing the lifespan of our clients buildings.
