Confix Australia specialises in Heritage Restoration and Concrete Repair, with the capacity to undertake both Commercial & Residential work.
Established in 1998, today we focus on the traditional methods of Heritage Restoration. Our in-house team are experts in traditional sand/cement render & solid plastering, and we have longstanding relationships with a number of Victoria’s best specialist restoration tradesmen- allowing us to carry out & manage all aspects of Heritage Restoration Works.
At the same time, we use the latest proven repair systems & construction chemicals to carry out all manner of repairs to reinforced concrete facades, walls, floors & ceilings.
Confix is located within 3 kilometres of Melbournes CBD, in Port Melbourne. We service the whole of Victoria.
We are an approved applicator of leading construction suppliers, including Dulux, Parchem, Tremco & Ardex.
Our Team / Contact Details
Confix’s management consists of;
Bernard O’Hanlon (Founder & Director): Bernie has over 35 years in the construction industry, with over 25 years managing building refurbishment works. He is a Registered Building Practitioner, registration # DB-L-21819 & CB-L-44574. He has multiple qualification/licenses in High Risk Work with Worksafe Victoria (Mobile Plant, Scaffolding, Asbestos Removal), Level 2 First Aid, Certificate III in Occupational Health & Safety, and is a qualified Coxswain with Marine Safety Victoria.
Nathan O’Hanlon (Project Manager & Estimator): Nathan has attained a Masters Degree in Construction Management at Melbourne University. He is a Registered Building Practitioner, registration CB-L 100031, and has a Certificate III in Occupational Health & Safety. He worked for Hansen Yuncken for three years as a Project Coordinator, fulfilling various roles on five different projects from $1.5M to $68M in value. In 2017, Nathan transferred to work at Confix full time, and since then has successfully managed over 100 projects.
Onsite, Confix’s senior personnel include;
Jarrod O’Hanlon (Site Manager): Jarrod has completed an Honours Degree in Construction Management at RMIT University, Melbourne. He has over 10 years experience on site for Confix. Jarrod has a current Level 2 First Aid and multiple qualification/licenses in High Risk Work and Worksafe Victoria (Mobile Plant, Scaffolding, Materials Hoist).
Michael Dunne (Foreman): Mick has over 45 years of experience within the construction refurbishment industry, and over 25 years of running projects. He specialises in Solid Plastering, Traditional Render and Heritage Brickwork.
Miguel Quilici (Foreman): Miguel has over 40 years of experience within the construction refurbishment industry, and over 20 years of running projects. He specialises in Solid Plastering and Traditional Render including mouldwork and decorative items.
Our core site team are all multi skilled craftsmen, with over 115 years of construction experience between them.
In-house, we are able to carry out traditional render repairs, solid plastering, brickwork, spalled concrete repair, epoxy crack injection, epoxy floor repair, painting, caulking and membrane coatings – all to the highest quality standards.
